I'm having a similar problem, but as far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with
a corrupt OS.
I think it has more to do with RAM usage. Every program you run grabs chunks of
RAM to use. *But*, they don't always want to give that RAM up, even after the programs
are shut down. So the longer the computer runs, the less memory and system resources
you wind up with.
There are a couple of ways to deal with it: either buy more RAM, or get a memory
management/optimizer program. I don't know what the best ones are-- can anyone recommend
some?
