The main thing and the thing i love the most about it is the STABILITY. Yes, It has some issues with older hardware and some software. The campatibility mode that is built in will usually fix the software Issue (not al the time though). They recommend 128mb of ram minimum but you really should have at least 256. Some hate it, I happen to love it just based on the fact that I DO NOT have the crashes and other annoyances I had with 98 and ME. So what it comes down to is if you have an older PC, stick with ME. But otherwise, try XP you just might like it.
