That's the ME System System restore volume. You need to clear out previous restore
points. When your system's infected, it's best to boot into MS DOS with a ME startup
disk and delete it.
You'll need a ME startup disk (boot disk). If you don't have one already, you can
create one. Get a blank floppy diskette, then go into Add/Remove programs. Click
the startup disk tab and choose Create disk and follow the prompts.
Then boot with the startup disk in the floppy drive. At the A:\ type the Deltree
command below. Deltree is DOS for delete. (Note the spaces, but upper lower case
doesn't matter).
A:\}DELTREE C:\_RESTORE
This will delete all of the temp files. Then Windows ME will create a new folder
and a few empty dat files.
Another way, is to disable to clear them out. Then re-enable according to Symantec's
instructions:
Disabling System Restore
Follow the instructions I posted for Jen: Download and run the Shredder, clear out
temp files then run Spybot Search & Destroy. (Do NOT post a Hijack This log here).
Also, run a free "online virus scan" at one of these links:
Panda Active Scan
Bitdefender
