I ended up using the retsore feature to bring the system back to the day before the
delete. It restored the sound driver but messed up Norton Antivirus. So I located
the drivers and copied them to my D drive. Then restored back to the current day.
When I pointed to the drivers on the D disk it still didn't work.
I then decided to restore back again to the day before and reinstall Norton. The
restore stopped working. So I gave up and am leaving it as is.
Bottom line is pc technology is mess. Can't wait till it catches up with mainframes
in reliability.
