I have a question about How
do I stop Internet Explorer from loading a "home page" when it starts?:
Although I followed the instructions, and set my home page to "blank", every time
I start Internet Explorer, it resets my home page to "http://www.msn.com/"
My lavasoft adaware identifies that two potential browser hijackers has appeared,
and tells me they are

This happens even if I am not connected to the net, so I surmise that one of the
Windows Updates I have recently installed has put this thing in. It has only ben
happening a few days, after I had a hard drive crash, reinstalled Windows ME from
disk, and ran Windows Update repeatedly.
Every time I remove them with Adaware, Internet Explorer changes the home page again,
and the two hijacker reappear next time I start it. I have tried setting the "msn.com"
to Always Block Cookies and made it a Restricted Site, but that hasn't helped.
