The last one was good advice from another member of this forum. It protects Internet Explorer. I wish that I could remember the name. I'm bad with names. You may have to clean out your _RESTORE if that's where they are hiding. Spysweeper notifies you if someone tries to change your homepage, just click no to keep it the same.
