Go to the ROXIO.com web site and locate the updates files for the Adaptec (now ROXIO) ECDC 4 version that is on your computer. You need to first determine which level of the programs you have and find the right update(s) to get you to the 4.05 level.

Most likely you will need the "Update Easy CD Creator OEM (bundled) 4.0 or 4.01 to 4.05" First.

You may also need the "Update DirectCD for Windows 3.01 or later to 3.05" and if your DirectCD is version 2.5, you will also need the "Update DirectCD for Windows 2.5 to 3.01".

Download these install files and save them. Then use them to update your system. When you find the exact ones you need and that fix your system, burn a CD with those update programs on it and keep it with your restore CD's.

You might want to consider buying the latest and greatest version of ECDC 7 if you do a lot of music/MP3 burning.
