Recently I have been surfing the web and an automatic windows update started that
didn't identify itself normally (had to call up the task menu to see it). After rebooting
the system when I left click my desk top a context menu appears! I have lost the
ability to invoke a context menu with a right click! I have also lost the abilty
to drag and drop files! I can't even invoke the explore folders option by right clicking
the start menu button! Virus and Adware scans found nothing. I tried removing my
mouse from the sytem hardware list and having it re-install the driver through plug
n play but to no avail! I was able to get back on the web and a gain another wauboot
was done "behind the scenes". When I reboot now I lose the abilty to right click
to open programs! All I could get was a "left click" context menu which had a "refresh"
option. I could invoke that and that would allow me to once again open programs!
Someone has hacked my context menu options and has all but crippled my ability to
download files from the internet and to close open windows that attempt to download
malware files! I have disabled the automatic windows update option. Has someone found
a vulnerabilty in WAUboot? What can I do to get my mouse working properly again?
