If the p/s is overheating, that could explain the problem. Make an observation: does intermittent shutdown occur right away, or after pc has been on a while. If the latter, could be p/s overheating or failing. 2) Is the p/s undersized? Have you added cards or other peripherals that are now overloading the p/s? 3) is the pc case fan running OK? 4) Does the CPU chip have a dedicated fan? if so, is it running OK? 5) If you have added peripherals, take them out to see if your intermittent problems go away.
