Hello Susan, Could be any one of a number of things. here goes: 1) make sure the power supply fan is working and not obstructed. If the p/s is overheating, that could explain the problem. Make an observation: does intermittent shutdown occur right away, or after pc has been on a while. If the latter, could be p/s overheating or failing. 2) Is the p/s undersized? Have you added cards or other peripherals that are now overloading the p/s? 3) is the pc case fan running OK? 4) Does the CPU chip have a dedicated fan? if so, is it running OK? 5) If you have added peripherals, take them out to see if your intermittent problems go away. Look into these areas and post your findings here. good luck, Don
