There was a bug in one of the IE updates last year that would cause the scroll
bar to drop to the bottom of the window and you could not scroll back up. But that
was fixed in an update last year. Do you have all of the
Windows
Updates installed from Microsoft? If not it would be worth a try.
If you have the latest IE service pack, then you could try a REPAIR of IE. >To
REPAIR IE 6.0, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove icon, and select (highlight) the entry
for "Microsoft Internet Explorer ... and Internet Tools" and then click the Add/Remove
button at the bottom of the window. On the options window, select the "Repair Internet
Explorer" option and click OK. When it is done reboot the system.
I assume you have already checked for any browser hijackers and ADware/Spyware
and virus, so there is not much it can be other than backlevel version of IE or a
corrupted file which updating and REPAIR should take care of.
