Lavasoft Ad-Aware False Positive

Recently a version of Ad-Aware's reference file (prior to 01 R330 07.07.2004) contained a false positive error which could delete the system file ATL.DLL. One upshot of this deletion affects Norton Antivirus 2003. When ATL.DLL is not present in the C:\Windows\System folder an error message during NAV startup advises that both CCIMSCAN.DLL and DEFALERT.DLL are missing or corrupted. The fix is simply to restore ATL.DLL from WIN_10.CAB. Note that Lavasoft has corrected this error starting with the above referenced version.

Regards,
Ron
