If you like to play around in safe mode as much as I do, the easiest thing to do
is enable the boot menu. This is easily done by adding two lines in the MS DOS.sys
file:
BootMenu=1
BootMenuDelay=5 (the amount of seconds it displays the menu)
You need to enable viewing of all hidden op system files and change the read only
attribute. The lines can be added via notepad. This way when restarted, the boot
menu appears for whatever amount of time specified and there is no hassle groping
for the right key at just the right time. If not changed on the menu screen, normal
booting takes place as always.
