me internet connection shutting down

Hi, I have a 5 computer network on thin coax with 2 of the machines running ME.
one of the machines is conected to the internet thru a dsl modem. this machine
conects to the internet and operates fine with no problems now for 3-4 yrs. The
other ME machine is connected through ICS via the thin coax network. This machine
has worked connecting to the internet routinely for the last 2 yrs. Something happened
to now cause it to drop the internet after 2-3 minutes. By rebooting you may get
on the internet easily but after 2-3 minutes you are again dropped. What happeded
and what can I do to correct it???
