Correction: I have now seen that 'standby' and 'hibernation' are the correct terms in English for 'suspended' and 'sleep'.....So, I will ask my question again: I put my p.c. in hibernation rather than in standby and now the standby option has simply vanished into thin air!! Any ideas anyone? Many thanks.
