Besides trying to install and run all the extra stuff, the biggest problem I find with NAV and McAfee, is that often the retail versions that people go out and buy often have problem with their update programs. This causes problems with parts of the product not being updated correctly if these retail versions are older. Then you wind up with a mess that does not work correctly, does not update correctly or crashes. With a some of their older products you had to find their almost hidden download fix/update files and install them after a clean reinstall of their products.

My advice is to first make sure you system is clean and running well, and then sign-up for their products on their web site and download the latest version. Usually works best that way.
