interuptions??

whenever I am using a program such as MSWord or any other window where I might be
typing text..or playing a game such as madden...I get an interuption that means I
have to re click on the page or window I am typing on to return to the task. In the
case of the game it minimises the window. These interruptions are constant and at
regular intervals....maybe 3 or 4 minutes apart. I can find no cause for them as
I don't know what else could be running to do this. Have switched off my virus scanning
asnd still it happens. Any ideas?
