Spybot's resident "Teatimer" blocks scandisk and defrag. Here's a workaround: Open Spybot and go to the Tools/Resident menu. Uncheck Teatimer. Close Spybot. Now you can run scandisk and/or defrag. Afterward if you want to you can reopen Spybot and reinstate Teatimer (which I think is a good idea because it will warn you anytime anything tries to change your registry.)
