I have a question about Can't
access some websites while using a shared PPPoE connection:

I have read the whole description and all the comments. i´ve done the right steps (not the wrong from the description) but of cause it doesn´t work :( the 1st computer that goes online has winXP installed the 2nd that connects over the 1st has winME installed. on my 2nd computer i typed: PING -f -l 1500 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (of cause with the right gateway adress and not the xxx.xxx...) <-- doesnt work then PING -f -l 1492 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx <-- doesnt work PING -f -l 1454 xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx did work the first time. i started regedit and found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ System\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ Class\ Net Trans\ 0000 and 0001 the TCP/IP entrys. i created the "MaxMTU" entry´s (DWORD value) in both path´s. i booted and of cause it didn´t work. but when i now tried to ping with the aboves value 1454 it didn´t work anymore. now i typed in 1400 and the ping worked again. but after i´ve done all the changes in the MaxMTU entry´s to 1400 and the reboot this ping didn´t work anymore too :( what could this be? i´ve checked the registry again and mentioned that there are now the new entry´s 0006 and 0007 with MaxMTU entry´s in it. can anybody help me on this very specific problem?
