At this point, you really need someone with a lot of experience with fixing Windows ME to take a hands on look at it to see what is going on.

If the machine was working OK and just suddenly started having this problem, then there is a chance that running from the DOS diskette the SCANREG /restore command and selecting a "started" backup copy of the Registry from a prior day that the system booted OK on, is your only real chance of getting it going quickly.
