Just purchased a NEW PC: ATHLON 2400 XP 512MB FAST DDR L7VMM3 Mainboard 128 bit - ProSavage8 3D Graphic 80GB Ultra DMA 7200 RPM Ok, nothing special but it suites me fine, or so I thought. I had installed the OS (Windows ME), Motherboard Driver, and was installing Windows Office suite when it crashed, no blue screen, just froze/hung up during installation. Bummer I thought, but no big deal I will Ctrl-Alt-Delete and re-boot. No joy from that though so had to switch the PC off with the power button. So nothing unusal so far. Now when I push the power button on nothing happens! Ok the fans come on and the flash elecro blue case light comes on but no hard drive noises or corresponding drive lights. When I try to re-start with the boot up floppy it doesn't access the floppy drive at all!! No lights no nothing!! Monitor says 'no input signal'. Has the motherboard or CPU gone? Any advice will be warmly appreciated before I ring the company tommorow. Cheers.
