I ran the IE repair and it did not have any impact. I only have a dial-up, so not
sure what to do about the Directx download.
One thing I did notice, though, is my applications seem to run much quicker, with
better response, when I rebooted into safe mode (I went into safe mode to do the
defrag). If this is the case, what would that tell me? A bad driver that is only
loaded in normal mode?
