On the contrary, thanks for your patience. It must have went over my head, that you'd
tried both the repair and reinstall.
I'm not convinced that IE is actually corrupt, or that you need to completely remove
it. It's your choice, of course. There's a small script called IEradicator that removes
all traces of it. There are other components installed with IE, so those would be
removed, too. IE is originally installed as part of Windows, so when you upgrade
it installs over the previous version. If you were to remove it, you'd need another
browser to get on the net.
You mentioned problems accessing your bank's website, so is it mainly Secure websites
you have a problem with? If that's the case, there are any number of causes. I can
give you some links to check out.
