Good stuff! I have disabled System Restore and deleted StateMgr from the Registry.
At least now the monster is not being updated. I have backed up the _RESTORE folder
to an external hard disk just in case. So I am at step 16 and cannot get to 17. All
attempts to delete the folder or individual files lead to an "Access Denied" message.
I have tried the SHIFT+DELETE METHOD to bypass the Recycle Bin. I have gone in MS-DOS
trying del *.* in the Archive folder and rd /s /q [file path] but still Access Denied.
As an additional note, _RESTORE is a hidden file which I have allowed to be viewed
but I cannot change the status by unchecking the hidden option...still access denied.
Any ideas? I have seen this same issue on another web-site, without conclusion. Cheers.
