hey, thanks a lot pappy! yep, the "Enable Idle Disconnect" checkbox was already unchecked. There is another box in that same window, "Disconnect when connection may not be needed." Does that do anything? I think it might also be my ISP that just disconnects. but i'm not really sure. Yeah, I was thinking of just getting a download manager. Get Right eh? Someone told me to get Gozilla, but when I looked it up, it was no longer freeware. oh well. If there are any better programs please post their names. thanks!!!
