Boot failure Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 11:06 am Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jim (1 messages posted) My GF's Windows ME PC has been working sluggishly for a while. Yesterday, when she started up, it would not boot. Instead it gave the insert system disk error message. We've run over the hard drive with Norton and it's readable. The boot-loader seems to have self-corrupted. How can we solve this without going to all the bother of reinstalling windows?
