This error occured this morning and now the computer wont load further than the Scandisc when ME loads up in safe mode. It wont provide me an active desktop, and theres no way to get to the start menu to get into any directories. When going through the step-by-step method or attempting to enter DOS, It wont allow me to proceed further than the bootlog.
