Only getting 800Mbit download is common with DSL. But you should be getting closer
to 1100Mbit download. It all depends on the test you are using, how busy the Internet
is, the quality of your phone line and how for it is from the CO of your ISP, and
of course how fast your machine is.
A slow or virus/spyware/ADware infected machine will be slower and test slower.
So you must make sure you do not have any type of infections and that all of Windows/IE
security patches are installed. And that your machine running OK. A Windows ME system
with less than 128MB or Memory (RAM) will be slower and not do as well on some speed
tests.

To test your TCP/IP settings and MTU settings which could be a minor problem,
go to BroadBandReporsts
and test your connection. It is not a speed test, but if you enter your correct speed
information (1500) and connection type, it will tell you what your MTU and RWIN settings
should be. They also have a program (DrTCP) that you can download that allows you
to adjust those settings.
