The first difference is better salesmen. Since XP Pro costs more, the commission 
is higher.

XP Home is a stripped down version of XP Pro. XP Pro is a blend of what used to be 
in Windows NT Client and Server editions. You get bits of both the client and server 
technology.

If you don't need to do any server things, like running a web site, XP Home will 
save some money.

As was said in the other response to your request, there must be some detailed comparison 
online.
