Like Amy, I didn't know how to open the command prompt. So I went to Windows XP
"Help," and typed "open command prompt." Windows' answer: "To open a command prompt,
click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command
Prompt." After the black screen pops up, type "Help," and it will list a bunch of
commands and what they do. Type "CHDIR [name of directory in which problem program
resides]" EXAMPLE: In my case, the problem program was System Mechanic 5, so I
typed "CHDIR C:/Program Files/System Mechanic 5." Hit enter. Then follow "Allan's"
March 12, 2005 instructions. Like he said, "Presto" -- problem solved. (Though
it's likely that "Allan" will never see this message -- thank you very much, sir.
I searched the net every way I knew how, and you alone provided the solution.)
