When you manually start McAfee, it checks its installed set up. One of the things
it does is check its startup entries. If it finds them missing, it puts them back
in the Registry because it thinks a VIRUS (you) have tried to block it from starting.
If the preferences not to start it at startup do not work for you, (you would
need to contact McAfee support about that issue), then make sure you are unchecking
all of McAfee's entries in the MSCONFIG Startup list, and then do NOT remove them
from the Registry. You can just leave your system in Selective Startup mode and have
in not display that message during start up.
