Hi Jack

I noticed my IP address is different from what you suggested

It says that my IP address is 192.168.0.100 with a default gateway of 192.168.0.1,
and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

Anyway I released and renewed it still no internet.

I did the pinging of both of those address you suggested, PING 127.0.0.1 and PING
192.168.1.1.

The first ping had no loss, 4 packets sent and recieved but the 2nd ping had 100%
loss, 4 sent and 0 recieved.

I also tried to ping the default gateway, 192.168.0.1, also 100% loss, 4 sent and
4 received.

I repaired the winsock code like you said, by unchecking dial-up and I restarted
and reinstalled whatever it asked me to.

I also did a check with spybot and norton antivirus. No threats.

After all that, I still have yet no internet :(

What else could be wrong? I plugged the cable into another computer and it works
fine so its nothing wrong with the cable either.

Thanks in advance,

Trina
