It is searching for the active documents you might open for the Active Desktop. These are the recently opened and edited documentes in the Start - Documents list! Or documents with a shortcut on the Active Desktop. One or more of them was on a diskette. Click Start - Settings - Taskbar and Start Menu - Advanced tab - and click the "Clear" button. If that does not solve the problem, the look at all of the shortcuts on the Active Desktop and find those that point to a document or program that is on the A:\ or B: drive.
