Sometimes I start my computer and it boots up just fine. Then other times it boots up with only about 10 colors. It can't display the graphics or anything. Error messages mention the following files: vmm32.vxd, machine.inf, power.drv, PCI.vxd acpi.sys. Once it said that I needed to update my BIOS. It seems that over the time the problem continues to get worse with the ratio of successful reboots to failed ones gets smaller and smaller. I am running an emachines with Windows ME. I just wiped the entire computer clean after it would no longer reboot. The first few reboots were ok and now I'm starting to see the same problem again. Any ideas? Thank you!
