Thank you all for trying to help. I have tried to install the broadband internet service using the card (yes thats the one 5740)supplied from Verizon and each time it says hotplug.dll not found.Downloaded it and it still says the same thing. Took it to Verizon store and he said....oh it's because it's ME and there is a lot of problems with that. Not being real puter smart I have come to the conclusion there must be something wrong with the puter and am thinking about possibly doing the upgrade to XP. There may be something I have to do with hotplug, but if so I am in the dark.
