Problem apparently solved

On March 13, I reported a problem regarding not being able to start up my computer.
I had run scandisk from a start-up diskette, all problems were reported fixed. Ran
a "stand alone" memory test for 12 hours, no problems with memory reported. Still
could not get my system going and so I re-formatted.
Shortly after installing some of my previous security applications (Norton, Zone
alarm etc..), my system would freeze up on start up and just about every time I clicked
the mouse.
One of the error messages that would flash up was "Vxd dynamic link call :VSDATA95(01).
This problem was apparently caused by Zone Alarm.
Previous to this and for about the last year or so, my computer was frequently prone
to random hangs.
I uninstalled both Zone alarm and Norton and went with a security package offered
by my IP.
Don't know the technical reasons behind my prevoius problems, but since making the
switch in security applications, my system has been running problem free (allthough
it's a lot slower at start-up. Could be due to only having 64 memory).
Hope this might be of help to anyone else.
