Windows XP offers more user-friendly support, and if you have enough memory it works fine. It's one of the more stable OS. And if you wnat to use a program that's only compatible with 9.x, you can right click the .exe file, then click on the tab compatibility. then you will see a button that's empty. (I'm dutch and don't know how to translate that button in english, sorry). After you have done that, you should be able to select which operating system it should be working in compatibility. That's possible because XP is a hybrid 9.x/NT OS. And it never crashed on me before! I let Windows 2000 crash in 1 week!
