As I've said many times in this forum,the Windows defrag program is a complete waste
of time.I use DiskeeperLite, a freeware program which defrags a disk in a couple
of minutes even if the computer is still in use .There are other good third party
defrag programs , just don't end up paying for any as the freeware versions are good.
