Unless the screen says Safe Mode in the four corners of the screen the computer isnt 
in safe mode. Its more likely that the graphic drivers need updating and the lowest 
screen resolution has been set as a default. Either delete the graphic adapter from 
the hardware list and hope it (re) finds the drivers or reinstall the graphic drivers 
from the CD
