One has Win XP Home Edition on it and the other has Win ME on it. I had no trouble getting on the internet with Windows Me computer. Then got this other computer with XP and Now my Me will not hook up. It locked up. And, now all I get is a dial tone and it states that I am on the net, but it will not open up. And I am a little confused as to why my XP can with no problem but not the other. I physically remove the phone connection of one to put in the other could that be it? I have tried calling the internet service and they have no clue. I get a dial tone on Win Me but it indicates not recognizing. I hope I made sense.
