Question about 'All of my desktop icons just became corrupted - what do I do?'

I have tried repair with tweak ui i have deleted shellicon cache and still all of
my icons in the windows folder are all over the place, half formed, half missing,
corrupt, i am at a loss please please can someone help me, this all happened all
of a sudden and even my graphics, font size, window sizes were affected, after fixing
these this is my last problem that i just can't fix, PLEASE HELP
