My printer jams and slips

I do not see printer messages in this forum. I will
however try. My Epson Stylus color 600 printer for
the second time, has jammed, slipped and prints
the lower part of page to the right side, and makes
a loud metal sound as it continues to move, until I
shut it off. Any ideas. I mentioned second time because the first time it happened,
it mysteriously
went away and worked O.K. for several days. Help
