Carol,
Thank you for taking so much time with me.
I tried the reinstall and after it checks my system and the installation wizard starts
I freeze up. When I ctrl-alt-delete it tells me Suwin not responding. I've googled
that and although a lot of people have this problem I can't find an answer.
I know my comments on the restore folder are confusing as I've confused myself.
I restored my system on 12/5/06 and as a result this restore folder showed up in
my windows explorer and that appl. file I mentioned is part of the folder. I wasn't
sure if I could use that or not. I know at one point I asked if I could delete that
file and the answer I got was "if your system seems to be running fine since the
restore" so I thought that comment meant I could use it if things weren't running
correctly.
I think for the time being I'll just have to chalk it up to a loss and work without
my accessories file on the start menu. It's not the end of the world just hard to
find things I use often like defrag & scandisk.
Again, thank you!
