I agree with you about Irfanview-it's a terrific piece of freeware and I have made
it my default image viewer in all my computers.
Regarding IE-there are better and vastly safer browsers such as Firefox.The best
single step you can take to avoid possible infection is not to use IE. And using
Firefox might solve the problem you are having at the moment.
