hi, did the following: 1. floppy boot (ok) 2. scanreg/restore at c: (ok, restored to earliest date-3 days b4 problem existed) shutdown, restart (no go-"explorer.exe, must restart windows...") 3. scanreg/fix (ok) shutdown, restart (same problem) *prior to this, i did do a registry check and the 3 hour hard disk scan. registry ok, c: drive okay. soj
