clicking on a video shutsdown my computer

I'm not at all sure. I believe Windows Media Player. Since seeing your reply. I have tried video from different sources. Yahoo, You Tube and Google all seemed to work OK. I went back and tried MSN video again. The first time it worked OK. The second time, it shut down my computer as described previously. Every once in awhile, when I click on MSN video, I get a blue screen error message...."there has been a problem". Then, if i click on "enter", the video works OK. I hope this is responsive to your questions.
