Hi Kathy.
The IE6setup.exe you download from Microsoft is one file about 650Kb in size. Is
this the file that won't work properly? It could be corrupt just download it again.
This file just initialises the setup.
If you are using dialup you need to be connected to the web for about 1 hour to download
and install IE6 SP1. If you use Broadband then its obviously a lot faster.
I use dialup so I only did this once. After install I burnt the install folder to
a CD, so I can run it from there. Even of the CD you still have to connect to the
web for a short period of time just to download some additional files. But it all
installs smoothly.
You could check around your news agents. I know IE6 is dated now but you might see
someone showing it in a magazine.
