game error??

I'm trying to run a game called The Stone of Destiny. I've gotten this error message
before on other games. All my system requirements are good.
TheStoneOfDestiny.exe file is linked to missing export kernel32.dll:RestoreLaseError
A device attached to the system is not functioning.
I've gotten this several times when trying to run a game. Any ideas??
