I have been using the same e-mail address tied to my website domain since 2002...I
have it set to I can read and send mail using outlook and not have to open the web
based option for my mail server.
The problem is I have not had any problem until starting late last year and all this
year with mail I send using my address going off into cyber space and folks telling
me they never saw the mail or now it ends up in the spam/junk mail folders.
I have been using a my address that starts with admin@xxxx-xxxx.com domain that isn't
my correct address but my domain does have the hyphen in it which I heard a rumor
that some e-mail servers my contacts may use see domain addresses with a hyphen or
starting with 'admin" as spam and send we get filtered as spam or quite a few folks
say they just never got the mail but I suspect they did but it went to the spam/bulk
mail folders and they just never check those or over looked.
I am also getting a lot of mail that bounces back when I e-mail to Yahoo now using
my address from Outlook and this never use to happen specially since Yahoo increased
the size of mail boxes and no one really should be over quota that's paying any attention
at all.
So I am basically send two e-mails to contacts, one using my site domain as explained
above and a duplicate using my ISP address from Mediacomm
I am thinking of changing my domain address and drop using the 'admin" @ part..but
can't do anything about my site having the hyphen since it's been online since 2001
and attained a Alexa.com ranking as high as in the top 30,000 at one time.
Basically I am just frustrated about the problems not being able to reliably know
mail I sent is being received..and I have started send "read receipt" to be return
but not sure any one even gets those since so few acknowledgements to those ever
come back.
