Infinity symbol inserted, etc. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 8:06 am Windows Me Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by mag (2 messages posted) Whenever I type in either my Netscape browser or Word, the infinity symbol (horizontal 8) is inserted haphazadly. This first occurred when I hit the delete key or backspace. Now it seems random. Then the cursor is automatically moved to the previous line (in the middle of a word) or elsewhere. Today an address was inserted in the recipient list of an email and I didn't save that address to the address book! Sounds like a virus. I explored macros, hot keys, etc. to no avail. Also, my clock resets itself to 1999 every time I shut off the computer. Suggestions?
