The floppy created is for booting and doing a limited number of things for specific
problems only when problems start on the hard drive. It will allow you to start
the computer and load the drivers to access the CD ROM for running the CD install
disc when you need to do repair operations, or a repair install. It won't do a repair
install as it sound like that's what you will need to do if the hardware is still
OK. You need an MS install CD or the recovery discs that might have come with the
machine, or if the install/setup program CD was copied to the hard drive, you would
need to run it from there. But if the drive is damaged or corrupted, then you are
pretty well stuck until you have the correct install media to use for repair/reinstall..
The Attrib command is specific for doing an operation that isn't what you need, so
not sure why there was a message for that at this point.

I think you are going to need experienced professional help to diagnose your machine
properly and get it running again. Sorry.. Some things need to be hands on and
